My interest in music technology has grown up in parallell
with my traditional music training. My first Juno 106 synth is still a favourite.
Together with a Roland MC-50 hardware sequencer and a Fostex A-4 reel-to-reel multitracker I made my first experimental recordings 10 years ago. |
See my old page: Home Studio Recording (recording tech notes) Studio Setup - some basic equipment... Some sound modules that are essential for my basic sound layering. Hardware sequencer Roland MC-50 still going strong... doing a fine job with synth phrases before loading them into the PC as waves or MIDI tracks. |

| Computer sequencing is Voyetra DOP Pro and two soundcards: Turtle Beach Tropez Plus for main digital audio and external MIDI sequencing. Soundblaster Live for digital input from DAT and for playing soundfonts via MIDI. I don´t use the onboard synths on the TB Plus. | Other recording/production merits | ||

| Passport Encore
3.0 is the main software for working with musical arrangements. Then I usually play the parts on keyboard and record them on the MC50, to get the best "live feel". Quantization is usually used to some degree for the timing, but the velocity values are most often retained as played live. |

This is my home built electronic
drum kit. Four training pads with piezo sensors are triggering an Alesis
D-4 drum module that is MIDI routed to a Roland MS-1 sampler and other sound
sources. This kit was used for main drumming on my CD Underliga Vindar and is a good choice for recording drum loops. |
