The BBC is the public national broadcaster in the UK. They offer informations on all of their programs on their homepage.
The first address at the Beeb for DXers is - of course - the World Service. Mail to worldservice.letters@bbc.co.uk. That is the International Audience Correspondence department. The BBC World Service does not have an on-line news service on electronic mail. This is just an address for correspondence. They cannot send full transmission details by e-mail, but information will be sent by post on request. Although the engineers are interested to receive reception reports, the BBC does not send QSLs. The BBC World Service homepage shows useful information on the BBC and the actual programme and frequency schedules. There is also an entertainment homepage, called "The Beeb".
There are various technical departments within the BBC that are interesting for radio hobbyists. One is the BBC Monitoring. The E-mail address for enquiries about subscriptions to World Broadcasting Information, Summary of World Broadcasts and other BBC Monitoring products is: 100431.2524@compuserve.com (Marian Martin - Marketing Assistant). The E-mail address for the World Broadcasting Information Editorial office is 100437.173@compuserve.com (Dave Kenny/Chris Greenway). They can be visited on their BBC Monitoring homepage, also.
Another one is BBC Engineering. They provide detailed television and radio reception advice to viewers and listeners and to the televison and radio trade. Check the BBC Engineering homepage.
