This new station was first noted 15/10 0255-0303* on 5053.6 kHz. Fair signal in Lima. The appearence of this illegal broadcaster calling itself "Radio Acobamba surprised me, because I remember that there was another R Acobamba broadcasting on 5324.8kHz in the period of 1984-1987. (In November 1991, the former R Acobamba's transmitter was sold and transferred to R Origén in Huancavelica). This seems to be a completely new broadcasting company. OM DJ said that the station was on the air as experimental transmission: "Radio Acobamba sale en calidad de prueba, el servicio de todos y cada uno de Uds. Estamos haciéndola por dos canales radiales: frecuencia modulada estereo sobre los 85.87MHz (sic), amplitud modulada onda corta 5050 banda internacional de los 55 metros. Es Radio Acobamba."
