A variety of LA music with some long nonstop blocks. Man announcer. Didn't hear any canned announcements what-so-ever. Caught several time checks. Most announcements were short except for the possible s/off announcements at 0345-0347. During the final announcement, heard a time check and what sounded like an announcement of "Radio Reina". Possible an announcement of kHz earlier at 0326, and "Andina" at 0339. Went off at the end of a song at 0348. Voice audio was a little distorted, but the music was fine. Carrier was quite wobbly but not drifting. Weak. (Valko Jun 1) |

Full data QSL certificate in 3 months for SS rprt, $1.00, ham QSL. v/s R.P. Manuel J. Rosas C., Vic.Parr. He also sent a very nice letter apologizing for the delay in answering and mentioned that it was a test broadcast that I had heard. Also enclosed was a 3-page copied letter with details on the area and station. (The station was founded by Franciscan Fathers in July of 1991. Between then and July, 1995, it operated with a very low power transmitter (No frequency is mentioned). At the end of July, two transmitters were installed, FM (89.1 MHz) and shortwave (4750 kHz). Address: Radio San Francisco Solano, Calle San Miguel No. 207, Distrito de Sondor, Provincia de Huancabamba, Depto. de Piura, Peru. Thanks again to Henrik Klemetz for help in IDing this one.
