Chachapoyas, full data QSL letter received in 5 weeks. v/s Rocio Garcia Rubio, Directora, wrote that the station is an educational, politically active and populist station. It is dependent upon the Diocese of Chachapoyas; and its programming is intended to carry out Christ's work. Radio Horizonte broadcasts a variety or programming, including a daily comprehensive newscast and informational program, as well as musical programs during which various topics are discussed and promoted, including health, agriculture, women, ecology and other issues. Radio Horizonte is a member of the Coordinadora Nacional de Radio and of the Asociacion Mundial de Radiodifusion Comunitaria (AMARC). It uses an Elcom Bauer transmitter with 1000-5000 watts. OM giving greetings to listeners in Rioja, mentions of Nuevo Horizonte, depto. de Cajamarca and Chota... Returned at 0158 to hear rap/disco mx. Anmt at 0201 that was so heavily echo'd that I couldn't copy anything except clear "en Chiclayo" (location of R.Horizonte 4505 kHz) at the end. OM w/ TC and closing followed by a disco "Radio Horizonte" song. Off air at 0207. fr-gd strength but tough copy w/slop de Swiss Radio spur on 5775 kHz. July 9. IDs during the evening were both "Radio Horizonte" and "Radio Nuevo Horizonte." I thought this was a NF for ex 4505 kHz. However, on July 11 at 1204 UTC, I tuned in to exactly the same fqy and the ID was completely different. There were a bunch of pop songs in a row, then at 1125 a YL said "7 de la manana, 25 minutos en los estudios de Estacion (Pulitor ??)." Signals were vgd.
