back on the air after several days of silence. Canned ID at 2359, Jun 2, said "OAX2H 910 AM", but there was no mention of a SW fqy. Another echoing and canned ID says, "Somos Huamachuco, el poder de la música". (Klemetz/Dateline Bogota) |

Nice Peru campo music with excited sounding male announcer between and over songs. Many announcements of Peru and ". .del Campo" possibly program name. Clear ID by man at 0142. Obvious canned sign off ID announcement with QTH by man over Herm Alperts "A Taste of Honey", and program end. Carrier stayed on however. A tone began about 0158, but the signal disappeared altogether at 0201. Fairly strong but high Thunderstorm QRN levels. Thanks Klemetz tip. (Valko Jun 3) |

Huamachucho; La Libertad, Andean music played on what sounded like a toy piano, then into s/off routine over Herb Alpert's "A Taste of Honey". M said "...programacion de dia de hoy", but couldn't puzzle out the rest. A station in this vicinity was ID'ed as R Huamachucho maj 30 by Klemetz, via Jerry Berg; but I can't dig any clues out of the signoff announcment. (Novello) |

with 30 min. of esoteric stuff followed by folklore. Noisy fqy but reasonable signal. This is probably the station listed in WRTH '97 on MW 900. Tracked down and identified as a result of a phone alert from Osterholm, in Finland. Thanks, JEO! New station on SW (Klemetz) |
