While getting my shack tape library in order, I found the Radio La Inmaculada tape from May with the address. I think this is it: Radio La Inmaculada; Parroquia La Inmaculada; Concepcion; Frente de la Plaza de Armas; Santa Cruz; Prov. de Santa Cruz; Depto. de Cajamarca; Peru; The latest I've heard them was June 22 UTC on 5556.26 kHz at 0224 UTC with romantic music and ID. first reported by Rich McVicar and id per Jeff White. A new station located in Santa Cruz. (McVicar TLC) 0308 UTC tuned into pop songs, OM with SS echo ID. Really difficult to catch. Sounds like "Laimapurada" or something similar. Mentions of "desde la parochia de" and then the same name as the station was given. Anncr said the station was broadcasting from "la ciudad de Santa Cruz." Program called "Onda Juvenil" (Youth Wave). At 0329, folk song followed by OM with prayer, then echo ID and off with "Somos Libres," the Peruvian national anthem. Pulled the plug on the carrier at 0337:20 UTC. May 19. (If you see this tip before the end of Sat the 20th, we'll be airing a couple of the IDs on DXPL.) Interesting that two new ones from the same city of Santa Cruz have popped up suddenly. (McVicar) |
