now active almost nightly , fair signal, good audio. On Sept. 26, last year, DJ revealed QTH as Av. Victor Larco 104, San Ignacio, distrito de Sinsicap, prov. de Otuzco, depto. La Libertad. There were ads for a Carniceria (butcher's) Oriental at the same address. Reactivated this year, logged for example on Oct. 17, 0120, there are additional plugs for another store at the same address, Agrotecnica Oriental, where they sell seed potatoes (semillas de papa amarilla). DJ has made it clear that shops and stn are owned by same person. One thing he's not making clear is the QTH of the stn... Greetings do not go to listeners in Cajamarca, only to Tayabamba, El Porvenir & other places located in La Libertad department. Fq is announced as "frecuencia 4200". (Klemetz/Dateline Bogotá) |

Victor Larco 104, "a un costado del campo deportivo", in San Ignacio, is in the distrito of Sinsicap, provincia de Otuzco, departamento de La Libertad. In addition, there were a couple of ads for a "Carnicera Oriental" at the same address. On Oct. 17, this year, 0120, there was no mention of a butchers'(carniceria) at this address, only an "Agrotcnica Oriental", specializing in "semillas de papa amarilla", owned by the station manager. I wouldn't be surprised if the station is housed on top of this thriving seed potato business. Programming is lively, and listeners are, indeed, in areas of La Libertad, such as Tayabamba, El Porvenir and lesser known places. (Klemetz) |

When he spoke the music cut out but resumed the second he stopped speaking. Several quick ids by man as Radio San Ignacio, but I didn t hear any for Super Radio San Ignacio. The program may have been "Recorda minana" and it starts at 1000 (5 AM) according to the announcer. At 1101 there was a canned id with flutes. (Johnson Oct 17) |
