The letter confirms that "La Voz de la Amistad" is a block of religious programs. At 0617 on 23 June the announcer mentioned a shift in frequency to help reception in Canada and Germany. 33333 Program "Compartiendo La Amistad", this program is transmitted every Saturday. Music Program, "Mundo Celular". Although no ID is given, the majority of the program talks about Radio San Juan de Trujillo. Later at 0438 there is a lot of noise and difficult to copy. NOTE: I can't confirm yet that this is the city but some details during the program refer to Lima. I will stay tuned to them for further information. (Arruantequi May 25 DX Window translated by Fleming Cumbre DX); Rich McVicar first IDed this one in July 95 as La Voz de la Amistad in Trujillo, Peru. By September, Rich had figured out that this was an intentional shortwave operation as the station announced that they were on 75 meters (their MW frequency is nominal 1450). Rich noted them as early as 1118 and signing off as late as 0517. Willi Passmann reminded us that this should not be confused with the Ecuadorian harmonic, LV de su Amigo from Esmeraldes that is on 4019 (3 x 1340v). In March 96 John Wilkins in Numero Uno reported hearing mentions of Radio San Juan de Trujillo. John believed that this was the same station as La Voz de la Amistad as they were both coming from Trujillo. I hope this helps our Spanish-speaking Dxers in getting to the bottom of this one. Not a harmonic as nominal fqy is 1450 kHz. Don't know if this is a transmitter spur or if a transmitter problem has put them way off fqy. or if this is an intentional SW broadcast. July 9.
