NEW STATION 0256-0332, Hrd Ranchera mx w/M anncr at 0258 w/TC and partial ID. Into pgm of Andean mx and a couple Rom. songs thrown in for good measure. Same M anncr host w/1-2 min. fast TCs, a few comunicados. ID at 0310 "?? 11 ?? La Voz de Santa Cruz...90, ?? para todo el Peru ??... de Peru ?? Radio La Voz de Santa Cruz". At 0331, a beautiful clear ID by the M anncr during a song as: "La Voz de Santa Cruz, su radio". There were also sev. mentions of Oscar Pas, possibly his name. Really picked up nicely after 0305, and basically in the clear with sign off with anthem at 0440. Thanks Hans for the tip!! (Valko 5/6 Jihad) Thanks Dave for figuring out the country as I wasn't sure. First night was 5/6 from 0015 tune in and still on at 0343. Signal got stronger throughout and overcame the constant ute. Not noted at checks around 1000 on subsequent days. Good modulation and steady signal with mucho ids. A couple of extracts- "provincia de Santa Cruz, radio vida, radio (informe) La Voz de Santa Cruz . . . en la frecuencia (sounds like 6360) et . . . onda corta". "en radio nueva informe Radio La Voz de Santa Cruz la voz Santa Cruz". My atlas show a Santa Cruz located in Loreto Department, and it appears to be on the Huallaga River down stream from Yurimaguas.
